I must have misunderstood what Weaver meant in an interview


I am not sure if it was after the announcement that the game was being moved to Labor Day or after the JMU loss, the fanbase were raising concerns about the short turnaround between the 2 games. At some point Weaver was asked a question about the short turnaround. He responded that since the conference schedule was in place, VT had the option of having a short turnaround against GT or JMU. He opted for JMU so it gave the team an extra week to prepare for GT's offense. Anyways during that answer he made it sound like VT had a tentative agreement in place to play the game in Lane and then someone realized that more money could be made if the game was played at FedEx instead. Now it could have been poor wording on his part.
